MISSION STATEMENT

To, in obedience to the Word of God

activate all members to serve as living members

of the church of Jesus Christ.  (Eph. 4:15-16)

 

WE COMMIT OURSELVES AS

MEMBERS

To put our God-given gifts at the disposal of God,

our congregation and the community.

FAMILIES

To actively participate in activities within our wards, and

in so doing build up our families and wards

to the glory of Christ.

ASSOCIATIONS

To create room for members

to realise their gifts to the glory of the Lord.

CHURCH COUNCIL

To, as servants of God, use our gifts

in service of the Lord and His congregation.

Eerw. P.W.J. van Zyl, hulpprediker te Wynberg, met Eerw. J.P. de Villiers van Woodstock as konsulent, is deur die kerkraad van Wynberg versoek om vanaf 1 Junie 1905 Retreat afsonderlik te bearbei.
Die Gemeente Retreat hou toesig oor 2 kerkskole byname Hoofweg (Tokai) en Blouvlei (Retreat). Hierdie arbeidsboorde het vele vrugte gelewer.
Op 7 November 1905 is die NGSK Gemeente Retreat met 180 lidmate, in die skoolgebou langs die Hoofweg te Tokai gestig.
